Match Preview: Valencia CF Mestalla vs Deportivo Alocoyano

Valencia CF Mestalla will host Deportivo Alcoyano on Sunday the 10th of January at 12:30 pm kick-off time at the Antonio Puchades in group III B of Segunda División B to close out the first team of the season behind closed doors in accordance with anti-COVID-19 club protocols.  

Valencia CF Mestalla are back in action almost a month later since their latest meeting before a lengthy Christmas break. Valencia CF Mestalla will be looking to stretch their three-match unbeaten run in their first match of the calendar year.

 Valencia CF Mestalla will play back-to- back home fixtures against neighbouring opposition Deportivo Alcoyano and Atzeneta UE.  

Valencia CF Mestalla head coach spoke in pre-match press conference to look ahead of their 2021 opening home game.

“We’re excited to see the  ball rolling again and we’re are looking to build on the positive sensations with which we went into the Christmas break is a match to continue to grow and try to do things right, make few mistakes and rekindle our attacking efficiency at home”.   

They will be up against Deportivo Alcoyano who are sitting pretty in the upper echelons of the group as they are coming into the game off the back of a Copa del Rey upset against Spanish top-flight opposition SD Huesca.

Joseda will be unavailable for Óscar Fernández though suspension while further players returning from injury will be back available for selection.
